Who else wants to create and change their own book covers…
 No Sales = Cover Hello Fellow Ebook Publisher,
As you probably know, there’s one thing that can make or break your book sales…
… and it’s your cover.
A good cover will increase sales. A great cover will really increase sales.
However, I’m sure you have read, or seen sales pitches, that tell you that you need to get “professional”…
• professional graphic artist (what do they know about marketing?)
or
• professional, eye-popping text effects (wondering if they have done any split-testing to see which font sells the best, based upon your category and your competition?)
And I bet you have never thought about this: What if you need to change your book cover? I guess a better question would be: Why would I ever need to change my book cover?
The answer to the second question is: Because my book is not selling!
Then I would just state – you need to put some effort into testing your different covers!
Prospective buyers don’t know what’s in your book (contents) until they read it… except for the short description (your sales pitch to click and buy your book) and the book cover.
Most people judge the book (before they buy it) by it’s cover. And that’s the truth! Some perhaps go by the review… but what if you have not made enough sales to get a bunch of reviews???
Therefore, if your book is not selling, you have three choices:
1. write a different book
2. change the desciption
3. change the cover
And changing the cover is fast and easy with my methods.
So, if the book still isn’t selling, change the book cover again. And again, etc.
Guess what? Some of the covers for the top sellers in many categories have no graphics at all… just text on colored backgrounds… go search Amazon for books and see for yourself!
Perhaps by now you can get the idea that changing your cover is a must. But how in the world could you ever afford to pay those “professionals” who are great artists, but have never sold a book in their life… those hefty fees.
I wonder how many authors have given up on a book that is not selling because they blamed the content inside the book, when in reality it could have been better marketing and really simple to change a few covers and start making some real sales???
